McDonagh’s has been serving the best fish and chips for decades and is both a takeaway and sit down restaurant and bistro. Specializes in seafood including soups and serves many different varieties and dishes.
This is a favourite eating place for lovers of seafood.

Quay Street kitchen is a compact restaurant in the heart of Galway City.
It serves a variety of great dishes using local produce.
Fish dishes and vegetarians dishes are a speciality and many of the items on the menu are suitable for Vegans and there are Gluten free options.

Oscars Seafood Bistro – Dominick Street
Oscars Seafood Bistro, just a few minutes from the Spanish Arch bases its menu on the availability of fresh local produce.
Fresh fish and vegetables and traceable local meat are the ingredients which go into the restaurants imaginative dishes.
Although mainly a seafood restaurant they do make some concessions to other tastes by including some nice chicken and vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Da Roberta, offers many Italian dishes such as prosciutto and pizza in this child friendly establishment. Osteria da Roberta nearby, has a more extensive menu of Italian dishes served in a more formal setting.

The Noodle House – Middle Street, Galway
Formerly known as Da Tang Noodle House it is Galway’s best known Chinese Restaurant.
It serves a variety of noodle, dumpling, stir-fry and rice dishes with chicken, beef, prawns, pork and roast duck and is reasonably priced for sit down or takeaway.
Gets great reviews.
Thai Garden – Spanish Arch, Galway
Thai Garden offers high quality authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable cost in the historic centre of Galway City at Spanish Arch.
The cuisine is from central Thailand and consists of very tasty appetizers and soups followed by rice or noodle dishes with beef, duck, prawns, chicken or vegetables.
They serve a nice variety of desserts, wines, teas and other drinks.
